Aloo Gosht Recipe

- 1 kg meat

- 500 grams potatoes (peeled and diced)

- 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste

- Salt to taste

- 3 medium-sized onions (finely chopped)

- 3 tomatoes (chopped)

- 3 green chilies (finely chopped)

- 1 tablespoon ground coriander

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 tablespoon garam masala

- Cooking oil, as needed

 1/2 teaspoon black cumin seeds

2 tablespoons cooking oil

Method:

1. Mix ginger, garlic, salt, onions, red chili powder, coriander, cumin seeds, turmeric, garam masala, yogurt, and tomatoes thoroughly with the meat and let it marinate for half an hour.

2. Add half a cup of cooking oil to the marinated meat mixture. Then, transfer it to a cooking pot and cook on medium heat for half an hour.

3. Add diced potatoes and two cups of water. Mix well and cook until the potatoes are tender.

4. Sprinkle chopped green chilies and coriander leaves on top.

5. For tempering, heat two tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan, add black cumin seeds, and fry for two to three minutes. Pour this tempering over the cooked meat.

6. Simmer the meat for five to seven minutes on low heat and then remove from the stove.
