Lahori Chargha Recipe

Lahori Chargha Recipe

- 1 whole chicken, skin slashed
- 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup yogurt
- Oil for frying
*Instructions:*
1. Mix ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala, salt, and yogurt in a bowl to make a marinade.
2. Rub the marinade all over the chicken, making sure to get it into the slashes in the skin. Marinate the chicken for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
4. Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray and bake for 30-40 minutes until it is cooked through and the skin is crispy. Alternatively, you can grill the chicken for a smokier flavor.
5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully lower the baked or grilled chicken into the oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
7. Serve hot with naan, salad, and your favorite dipping sauce.
